I performed duties as a committee member for an undergraduate honors' thesis for a former student of mine. This started while I was at my former institutions (University of North Carolina-Charlotte), and continued during my first 6 months as an ARAID researcher.
Tasks included: meeting with and advising the student (in person, via email, etc.) as to research question, methodologies, and relevant scientific literature; reviewing different drafts of the thesis; participating in the public defense of the thesis; and grading the final draft.
